TappyBear, a therapeutic teddy bear, sits on Deborah Miller’s lap. She cuddles the bear and says to the child, ”TappyBear knows just how you feel. He is scared, too. He doesn’t at all feel well.” The child looks puzzled and curious. “You know how I make TappyBear feel better? I tap on his buttons and that makes him feel better.
Want to try it?” Deborah taps on the tiny buttons on the bear and says, “I am scared of being sick, but I am still a good bear.” She sees the child relax and a tiny smile crosses his face.
